I love telling people about our story because we met on a dating app, Hinge to be exact! At the time we were living just 15 miles away from each other. We met up for drinks around West Hartford and instantly connected. Everything was perfect except I had just been hired by a company in Framingham, MA and was starting in a few months. We were both nervous but willing to give long distance a chance. After a year of long distance I moved back to CT to be closer to family and Griffin. After returning to CT and eliminating the long distance part of our relationship, we wanted to get rid of any distance that was left, so right when COVID lockdown began, we moved in together into our first apartment in Enfield. Now we find ourselves happily settled in my hometown of Windsor with our pups Rico and Rondo. We can’t wait for what the future has in store for us and and thank you all for supporting us along the way!

Very shortly after meeting Gill, I knew she was the one for me. So after three years together it was time to do what I knew I was always going to, and propose. There were so many questions and about who to involve and how flashy to make the proposal. After buying the ring, getting Tom’s blessing, and weighing all of the options, it became clear how and where this was going to happen. I decided on an intimate proposal, just Gill, myself and Rico. And the perfect place would be on top of Talcott Mountain, a place we had hiked countless times. After convincing Gill to go for just a ‘normal hike’ the nerves set in as we set up the mountain. But once we reached the summit everything was perfect, and the rest of the world just melted away as I got on one knee. We even had a paraglider fly in on the proposal, but we only realized after watching the footage back after it was over. The walk back down flew by and we went home and celebrated together, the first step towards the rest of our lives together.
